We train workshop participants to communicate more effectively by “coming in on the other person’s wavelength.” They learn how to discover people’s communication needs and to respond in a way that builds rapport and gets their message across. This workshop will enhance participants’ interpersonal skills and performance.
When a workgroup or team takes this workshop together, they will increase their communication skills and teamwork. Team members see each other in a new light, understand where each other is coming from, and what they need to change in order to work together more effectively. People learn to appreciate differences and to capitalize on each other’s strengths so that differences become building blocks instead of stumbling blocks.
The workshop can stand alone, or it can be used as a crucial module of a Team Building or Diversity Training Program. It is a full day in length and is best done in person, on site. It is interactive, with games, exercises, and dynamic dialogue between subgroups. We can use either the DISC Personal Profile or the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) to give participants fuller insights into different personal and communication styles.
A uniquely powerful feature of our program occurs after the workshop in our customized coaching for individuals. We will deliver one-on-one telephone coaching sessions to each person for following up and applying the workshop on the job. Participants appreciate the chance to discuss in a confidential setting how to apply the workshop to their specific situations.

Communicating on Their Wavelength is an interpersonal skills training lab, a skill-building experience that is highly interactive. You will learn by doing. Studies consistently show that more powerful learning happens when you are actively engaged. In addition, participants report they enjoy the sessions much more, and feel more confident and able to implement the skills on their jobs.
